How does image compression work?

Image compression reduces file size by removing unnecessary data and optimizing how the image is stored. Our tool uses lossy compression for JPG/WebP (adjustable quality) to achieve smaller files while maintaining visual quality.

Will compression affect image quality?

Lossy compression trades some quality for smaller file sizes. At higher quality settings (80-95%), the difference is often imperceptible. Lower settings (below 60%) may show visible artifacts but create much smaller files.

What's the best quality setting for Discord/WhatsApp?
